Leading Hollywood actor George Clooney has been admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pain where he has been diagnosed with pancreatitis.

According to a report by a foreign news agency, the 59-year-old actor was about to start working on his new film four days later for which he had lost 13 kg.

Doctors say George Clooney will have to stay in the hospital for several days, which could delay the shooting of his new film.

“I think I was trying very hard to lose weight and I stopped taking care of myself,” said George Clooney. “It will take me a few weeks to recover. As a director, it’s not easy because it requires a lot of energy,” he said.
