Lady doctor from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Alia Sarfraz died at a private hospital in Islamabad due to Coronavirus.

According to the Provincial Doctors Association, the number of martyred doctors in the province has risen to 27.

According to the Provincial Doctors Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lady Dr. Alia Sarfraz from Peshawar was undergoing treatment in Islamabad. She had contracted the coronavirus, earlier this month.

The PDA says Lady Dr. Alia Sarfraz was the former head of the gynecology department at the District Health Hospital, Haripur. So far, 27 doctors have lost their lives fighting the coronavirus across the province.

According to the Provincial Doctors Association, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has not yet given a martyr package to any martyred doctor or health workers, so far doctors and health workers are also deprived of Karuna Risk Allowance.

Two doctors from Karachi Dr. Haris (ENT specialist ) and Dr. Ahmad (eye specialist) also died due to the contraction with the deadly virus.
